Requirements of DEDESO GmbH for itself and for every plant in its manufacturing network. Part of supplier evaluation and of the purchasing terms.
| Document | Form No. 17 |
| Revision | Rev. 1 — September 2026 |
| Scope | DEDESO GmbH as well as all suppliers, partner plants and their sub-suppliers manufacturing for DEDESO GmbH |
| Foundations | ILO core labour standards · UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights · German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) |
A code of conduct that is merely signed is a sheet of paper. We verify compliance where manufacturing takes place — in the plant, at every visit. That is why we work with few partners rather than many: you can only take responsibility for what you have seen.
1 · Human rights and working conditions
Child labour is excluded. The minimum age for employees corresponds to the statutory minimum age of the country of production, and in any case to the age set out in ILO Convention 138.
Forced, bonded and compulsory labour in any form is excluded. Employment is voluntary; employees may terminate their employment at reasonable notice. Retaining identity documents, deposits or portions of wages in order to bind employees is prohibited.
Working hours comply with national law. Overtime is voluntary and separately remunerated.
Remuneration corresponds at least to the statutory minimum wage or the customary industry rate, whichever is higher. Wage deductions as a disciplinary measure are prohibited. Payslips are comprehensible to employees.
Employees may associate and form representative bodies to the extent permitted by national law. Where freedom of association is restricted by law, alternative forms of employee representation shall not be obstructed.
Discrimination on grounds of gender, age, origin, religion, disability, sexual orientation or political conviction is prohibited. Corporal punishment, threats and harassment of any kind are excluded.
2 · Occupational safety and health
Workplaces, machinery and equipment comply with applicable occupational safety regulations. Protective devices on machinery must not be bypassed.
Personal protective equipment is provided free of charge; its use is instructed and monitored. This applies in particular to foundry and sintering processes: heat protection, respiratory protection when handling powders, hearing protection and eye protection.
Employees are instructed before commencing work and at recurring intervals thereafter. Instruction is documented.
Escape routes are marked and kept clear. Fire protection, first aid and emergency preparedness are governed by procedures and are practised.
Occupational accidents are recorded, investigated and evaluated. Upon request, the supplier shall disclose its accident figures.
3 · Integrity and anti-corruption
Bribery, acceptance of bribes and the granting of improper advantages are prohibited — towards public officials as well as towards private business partners.
Gifts and hospitality are limited to a level that is customary in business and does not influence any decision. Payments to employees of DEDESO GmbH or their relatives are excluded.
Agreements restricting competition in respect of prices, volumes, territories or customers are prohibited.
The provisions of export control, customs law and sanctions law are complied with. The supplier shall notify export restrictions applicable to the delivered products without being requested to do so.
Conflicts of interest are disclosed. Money laundering is neither facilitated nor supported.
4 · Environment and resources
The supplier complies with the environmental regulations applicable at its site and holds the required permits.
Material, water and energy consumption are recorded and, where technically feasible, reduced. Recirculation of slurry, sand, wax and metal returns shall be pursued.
Waste, waste water and process media are collected separately and disposed of in accordance with regulations. Hazardous substances are stored and labelled properly.
Emissions from melting, sintering and coating processes are monitored and kept within permitted limits.
5 · Material, declaration and traceability
Materials used comply with the specification. Material certificates in accordance with DIN EN 10204 are provided upon request in the agreed type.
Information pursuant to REACH and, where applicable, RoHS is provided. Prohibitions and restrictions on use are observed.
For tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold, the supplier passes on the origin information available to it, upon request in the format of the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template.
Batch-related traceability of the delivered products is ensured. Records are retained for at least ten years.
6 · Reporting, verification and enforcement
Indications of breaches of this code may be reported confidentially, and anonymously if preferred, to the management of DEDESO GmbH at info@dedeso.com. Whistleblowers shall not be disadvantaged.
Compliance with this code forms part of supplier evaluation. We verify it during our plant visits and audits; the supplier shall grant access to the manufacturing areas concerned for this purpose.
Where deviations are identified, we agree corrective measures with deadlines. The supplier provides evidence of implementation.
In the event of serious or repeated breaches, or where corrective measures fail to materialise, we terminate the cooperation.
The supplier passes on the requirements of this code to its own sub-suppliers insofar as they work on products for DEDESO GmbH.
7 · Applicability
This code applies upon receipt and supersedes earlier versions. It does not establish any claims of third parties beyond statutory provisions.
The Supplier Declaration of Commitment (Form No. 18) confirms acceptance of this code and is a prerequisite for inclusion in our approved supplier list.
German original: „Verhaltenskodex". This is a translation of the German original. In the event of discrepancies between the German and the English version, the German version shall prevail.
8 · Acknowledgement and acceptance
By signing, the supplier confirms having received and read this Code of Conduct and accepts it as a binding basis of the cooperation. The detailed declaration of commitment including company details is provided via Form No. 18.
